Task 6 // The Best in your Area

in my opinion the best in my area is Professor Maria Teresa Serra who recently received an award from the CONAF and the Ministry of Agriculture for their contribution to the training of foresters and their contributions in terms of knowledge and policy development conservation and biodiversity, over the past 30 years.

This award was made at the launch of the campaign: "Women, agriculture next to you and our forests are growing," the Ministry of Agriculture, which aims to take over the role that farmers, producers and professionals play in the development sector "silvoagropecuario". Thus Prof.. Serra received his award alongside Paola Perez, the first woman in Chile and rangers from the hands of the Minister of Agriculture, Marigo Hornkohl and the Director of CONAF Catalina Bau.

This campaign seeks to raise awareness and encourage the use of mechanisms to promote productive that exist for women. It is recalled that the Ministry of Agriculture for small producers offers training tools, technical assistance, credit, subsidies for the improvement of land, financing for irrigation projects, as well as subsidies for afforestation and forest management. One point is that during 2008, about 59,000 women received some support by 27,220 million pesos.

Task 5 // Your Career

Today i'm going to write about my career, it's forest engineering, when i knew about this career i liked it inmediatly, i'm studying it because i think that trees and everything about them is directly to our lives. I believe that its development, growth and care is something essential, because thanks to them our life is better. i think also that the respect for them is something we should learn from children. Proffesionals today provide researching and collecting data from different species, as well as the exploitation of others to provide raw materials, the main benefits of the knowledge of these species is their use for medicinal purposes. on the other hand, tools that I thought might be needed in the future if I had to think of some would be something like upgrading an existing one which is used to determine based on the growth rings of trees, some events in life of it, ie for periods that had to happen, such as droughts, fires, etc.. and thus study the history of the locality where the specie is. This is primarily useful in habitats of species that can live for over 1000 years, such as the Sequoia.
My favourite subject is directly related to my career it's Forest Geography, i like it because we can learn a lot just by knowing different factors ie latitude, longitude, altitude. about the distribution of certain species and their habitats.

Task 4 // A photograph

This photo shows the book "the secret" by rhonda byrne, this is a photo by Tony Cenicola/The New York Times; background photograph by Mark L. Stephenson/Corbis, the book says that you have the power of getting all that you want by using the law of attraction as a key to get it.
currently in top 5 best seller list of new york times.

"For one, most of the millions of people who have seen “The Secret,” a documentary that is the biggest thing to hit the New Age movement since the Harmonic Convergence, may not know that there are two versions of the film.

In both, “The Secret” intersperses interviews with authors and inspirational speakers who specialize in personal transformation with short dramatized episodes to deliver a message about how positive thinking will improve one’s health, wealth and love life"

I like this because I have read the book and helped me a lot, but i do not interpret it in a magic way is nothing more than a self-help books that reminds us that we have always the power to change things for the better and that always we may take another position in the life

Task 3 // Website

Today i am going to write about a website i like to visit because it is very usefull it is a forum about forest and wood topics, also it has some topics related to clean energy production like biodiesel and others, i read this web generally once a week, i found this site doing a homework about native forest and all its topics motivated me to keep reading, I found a high quality support on this site for my career.

I will write a little about the subject that I liked more it is biofuel in chile.

The allocation in the coming days, up to $ 6 million to public-private partnerships for research, development and commercialization of advanced biofuels technology, or second generation, the announcement confirms the priority that Chile will give this type of biofuels that President Michelle Bachelet made on May 21 during the annual statement to Parliament.

Second-generation biofuels - which are obtained from ligno-cellulosic materials such as wheat stubble or waste disposal and of forestry and wood - have the advantage of not competing with food waste and take advantage. The process of conversion into bioethanol is long and complicated that the cost of bioethanol over traditional and other biofuels.

Task 2 // Technology

My cellphone is my favourite piece of technology, it's a Sony ericcson K790a it has many benefits for example the camera of this cell is 3,2Mp. so i can have a picture of any interesting place i go. I have it since last may and i got it giving my old cellphone back, also i had to wait around 18 months.I use it everyday and it is my company in the path of my home to university and vice versa. i like it because i can do a lot of things at the same time for example read a book in pdf and listen some mp3 music.
i don't want to imagine life without it, would be very boring
especially my bus ride, is around one hour to get to college.
i think most people can't imagine their life without this, because stay connected especially with loved ones is now a necessity.

In this link you will found which I consider the best accessory for this model.

greetings!

Free

Hi there!
my name is Francisco GĂșmera I have 20 years old, and I'm studying Forest engineering.
I'm from 08' generation, I've known a lot of people here and in despite of we have meet just a year ago, i feel like i known them from before, they're really good people, by the other side first year was a litle bit difficult. i failed two classes, i hope to improve this year.

mm..What else?

Now i'm listening the selecter their single black and blue , they're not very current but i like them. i'ld have liked to see them in a concert but now it's very difficult because they gave their last tour on 1999. they also witnessed the two-tones phenomenon.
they were born around 1979 with different musicians with different influences, they separated in 1981, later in 1991 coinciding with the revival ska festival They regrouped but with different components.

this is my first time writing into a blog so I hope to have done it well.

see ya!
